About Pi Kappa Alpha at Michigan State University

Pi Kappa Alpha International Fraternity is a Greek letter, secret, college, social fraternity. It is composed of men who share similar ideals of friendship, truth, honor, and loyalty. The Fraternity’s ideals are expressed in the written words and symbols of a secret ritual. These ideals and members’ ability to maintain the visions of the Fraternity’s founders are the great moral legacy of Pi Kappa Alpha. Since its founding, the Iota Iota chater of Pi Kappa Alpha has strived to attain perfection. The chapter focuses on developing leaders with positive character traits that will last a lifetime. Pi Kappa Alpha has maintained a strong social standing on campus and prides itself on truly enjoying the college experience. “Once a Pike, always a Pike!”

Chapter History

Our Chapter was founded at Michigan State University in 1987 by a select group of strong founding fathers. Since then, the house of Iota Iota has moved two times in order to expand on campus. Our chapter has developed and remained as the number one house on campus and grown to an outstanding number of 116 active members who embrace the four pillars that are scholars, leaders, athletes, and gentlemen. While we focus on recruiting quality members over quantity, we have still attained the accomplishment of being the largest Fraternity on Michigan State’s campus.

Philanthropy Event: Pike Spike Volleyball Tournament

The men of Pi Kappa Alpha hold an annual Charity Volleyball Tournament known as Pike Spike. The chapter works to bring together members of the Greek Community for a day of friendly competitive volleyball. Proceeds from the tournament are donated to a charity of choice.
